Kevin M. Barnes Jr.
Hailing from the close-knit community of Madisonville, Louisiana, Kevin developed a deep appreciation for personal service and the importance of advocating for his hometown. With a strong desire to work for the people of south Louisiana, Kevin pursued higher education, obtaining a Bachelor’s degree in Business Management from Southeastern Louisiana University in 2006. He then went on to earn his Juris Doctorate from Southern University Law Center in 2020, where he excelled as a member of the Trial Advocacy Board. Kevin’s dedication and leadership qualities earned him three terms as an executive board member and the prestigious President’s Award in 2019. Prior to law school, Kevin served as a Louisiana State Trooper for nearly a decade, gaining invaluable experience in law enforcement and criminal investigations. However, his passion for assisting people in the courtroom drove him to pursue a legal career. Outside of his professional endeavors, Kevin finds solace in the great outdoors, indulging in activities such as hunting and fishing. He also cherishes quality time spent traveling with his family.
